At the end of the driveway lies beautiful Maple Lake.
There you will find steps made from old railway ties leading down to a deck where you will find comfortable seating, shaded by towering cedar trees overlooking the Maple Lake. Maple Lake is perhaps the safest swimming lake for kids in the Haliburton Highlands. Down another stairway from the upper deck is the lakeside dock paddle boat for your use. The water is clean and the bottom is sandy-perfect for swimming. The water is knee high for about 20 meters, then it deepens to where the water is clear and cool.

Relax and enjoy the lovely view and the quiet solitude at the dock. You may be rewarded by observing passing ducks or a beaver traveling up the lake!
